My first disappointment came when I noticed that I was getting credited for headshots that I clearly wasn't making (in hardest difficulty). Then I realized that this was going to be a recurring theme throughout the game. Since console controllers are harder to aim with, game makers often will sacrifice some accuracy integrity and reward you for missing (as long as it's only by a little bit). Sadly, the makers of this game forgot that the PC experiences no such drawbacks and that our challenge comes from the skill and strategy of our opponents (be they human or AI), not in the clumsiness of our controller.

So yes, after a couple hours or so, I got bored with shooting (or should I say spraying) bullets at the endless waves of enemies and instead swapped out the DVD-ROM with Team Fortress 2 to cheer me up a bit.

I know this game got great reviews, so I'm sure the storyline and gameplay must improve at some point during the game,it just wasn't worth the wait for me to find out when.
